S1-A,B,C English Speeches

For most of Term 2 in S1 Practical English we have been listening to, reading, studying, and writing short speeches in English.

Finally it was time for the students to stand up and present their own speeches. They could choose any topic they were interested in and there was a wide variety. All were interesting and the product of careful thought and effort.

Topics included:

The good and bad points of smartphones;  Anpanman;  Why 007 is admired around the world;  My Youth World Archery Championship experience;  Japanese dialects;   How YouTubers make money;  favourite popstars;  as well as activities, such as Dancing, Archery, Tennis, and so on.

Students were graded on memorization, pronunciation, intonation and stress, body-language, clarity, and content. It was a very difficult task but all students should feel proud of their efforts.
