Inside the classroom: J3 Oral Communication

Many of our J3 students will need to use their English in real life this year on our Study Abroad trips and Exchange programs. This year Konan students will be travelling to Canada, South Korea, Singapore, the UK, and more. To help them, at school we sometimes practice travel and homestay situations.

In these pictures, J3 students are practicing ordering food in a fast-food restaurants. It’s fun and useful.

LESSON AIMS

To understand and respond in common food ordering situations.

To practice dealing with problems in ordering situations.

METHOD

First they listened to a conversation to help them imagine the situation.

Next, with their team mates, they matched questions with responses.

Finally they role-played the situation with their partners and the teacher.
